Here's hoping 2009 brings with it peace and happiness, all the good things of life, great health, fantastic company, good fortune and great climate!
Here's hoping that your garden is brimming over with beautiful blooms and tasty veggies. And also that it attracts all the butterflies in the land but the caterpillars choose to nibble elsewhere !
And here's wishing that in the future, all of us will look back on this year and say, " I hope the new year will be like 2009 !"
Happy New Year, my friends!

ReplyDeleteHave a mega 2009, Sunita!
ReplyDeleteHope you will have many exiciting birds and butterflies in your yard and get jaw-dropping pictures of them this year. Hope those dragonflies will also oblige.
Those are very pretty blooms to welcome the new year.
Hey, Amila, good to see you here in the new year. Yeah, I really hope the dragonflies will sit still for me this year. And the birds ... and the butterflies. Pity that when they do choose to sit , it is so far away that my point-and-shoot just about manages to capture a blur of colour. The birds really are more colourful on the other side of the fence!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping you are lucky enough to get all those lovely photos that you've dreamt about. Happy New Year!
Sunita - What a lovely wish for the new year :)
ReplyDeleteI hope 2009 is good for you.
Warm regards
K
I hope so too, Karen! We seem to have seen the worst of everything already in 2008, now its time for the best.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy New Year to you and your family too, Sunita. LOVE your blooms! Here's to happy gardening and blogging in 2009!!
ReplyDeleteThank you , Kanak. Glad you're back and busy blogging again.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo is of an orchid, a Dendrobium crumenatum, which blooms whenever there's a fluctuation in temperature. The flowers are very short-lived but so fragrant that its amazing!
The second photo is of a variegated lantana. Very commonly seen but I dont think anyone really notices each individual flower. Quite striking, dont you think?
A blessed and joyful New Year is wished for you too, dear Sunita!
ReplyDeleteI've so much enjoyed catching up on your recent posts (and will try to visit more often to stay caught up)...the sun, sky, birds, blooms and bees and butterflies...and your photos...all wonderful! And fascinating to see such different varieties of flora and fauna to ours.
Thank you, Kerri. I hope to see you here more often now. I'll have to see what new photos I can put up here to entice you ;)
