Thank you for writing in and I'm sorry about the delay in replying.
This is the best time to grow broccoli and other veggies best suited to cooler climates. So I hope you still have enough seeds for a winter crop (or can get some more).
Growing in the rains is not a problem if you sow the seeds during a lull in the rainy days. You can also try sowing them in a seed tray and plant out later.
All the best with your garden adventures, I hope your garden is as bountiful as you dream it will be! :) Sunita Mohan https://www.blogger.com/profile/16395671437601246093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433906806220848808.post-60490465943477108212018-11-15T11:15:27.443+05:302018-11-15T11:15:27.443+05:30Hi! Coconut husk retains more moisture than other media so you have to be careful about how much water you supply. Also which type of orchid do you have? Every type has different light requirements so you must make sure that the light it is getting is appropriate.
All the best with your new plants!Sunita Mohan https://www.blogger.com/profile/16395671437601246093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433906806220848808.post-63258441682907678332018-11-02T15:58:51.733+05:302018-11-02T15:58:51.733+05:30Lol! I recently came to India from the US to help my friends open up their farmhouse in Gujarat after years of it being empty. It's a lot of work, but rewarding! In the meantime I've been planting vegetables. They just brought me a whole bunch of seeds from the US (herbs and greens like chard and kale, mostly, but also broccoli!) and I have no idea how to plant them. The timing seems ideal, seeing your post, but won't the rains drown the seedlings if I put them straight in the ground? Any tips you have for an exuberant but amateur gardener from middle America who's in love with your country would be wonderful! I hope to hear from you- and that I get half the bounty you do! Your garden is wonderful.stellanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7433906806220848808.post-53017907123056907562018-03-07T23:15:42.955+05:302018-03-07T23:15:42.955+05:30Thank you. Or maybe its the cooler weather of winter that's to blame.
